Citizens of Azad Jammu and Kashmir have expressed serious concerns over the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s announced protest call for October 4, urging political parties to avoid confrontation and disruption, Kashmir English reported from Muzaffarabad.

Residents said repeated protests, sit-ins and road closures have severely affected routine life and created difficulties for the general public, with middle- and lower-income segments hit particularly hard when roads remain blocked.

Citizens maintained that long marches and sit-ins are not a solution to political problems, arguing that such activities add to the hardships already faced by ordinary people. Previous protest marches towards Islamabad resulted in road closures and disrupted transportation, they noted.

The residents called for political differences to be addressed through dialogue and peaceful means, stressing the need to protect the public from unnecessary disruption during political activities.
