    چیف الیکشن کمشنر جسٹس (ر) غلام مصطفیٰ مغل کی زیر صدارت ایک اہم اجلاس منعقد ہوا، جس میں سینئر الیکشن کمیشن ممبر خواجہ محمد احسن، ممبر سید نذیر الحسن گیلانی، سیکرٹری ایاز بشیر، الیکشن کمشنر لوکل باڈیز راجہ رشید محمود اور سپرنٹنڈنٹ لوکل باڈیز راجہ مختار حسین نے شرکت کی۔

    اجلاس میں فیصلہ کیا گیا کہ بلدیاتی انتخابات کے انعقاد کے حوالے سے لوکل گورنمنٹ ایکٹ 1990 میں ضروری ترامیم کی سفارش حکومت کو کی جائے گی۔ پنجاب، خیبر پختونخوا اور سندھ کے بلدیاتی انتخابی قوانین کا جائزہ لینے کے بعد سفارشات تیار کرنے کے لیے ایک کمیٹی بھی تشکیل دی گئی ہے۔

    مزید برآں بلدیاتی انتخابات کے انعقاد کے لیے درکار بجٹ کا تخمینہ تیار کر کے حکومت کو پیش کرنے کا بھی فیصلہ کیا گیا۔ الیکشن کمیشن کا کہنا ہے کہ بلدیاتی انتخابات کا انعقاد اس کی آئینی ذمہ داری ہے اور وہ اپنا مینڈیٹ پورا کرنے کے لیے تیار ہے۔

    آزاد کشمیر میں آخری بلدیاتی انتخابات 2022 میں لوکل گورنمنٹ ایکٹ 1990 اور متعلقہ انتخابی قوانین کے تحت منعقد ہوئے تھے۔

    AJK Election Commission begins preparations for 2026-27 local government polls

    An important meeting on preparations for the local body elections was held under the chairmanship of AJK Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Ghulam Mustafa Mughal, an official press release said.

    Senior Election Commission Member Khawaja Muhammad Ahsan, Member Syed Nazir-ul-Hasan Gilani, Secretary Ayaz Bashir, Election Commissioner Local Bodies Raja Rashid Mahmood and Superintendent Local Bodies Raja Mukhtiar Hussain attended the meeting.

    The commission decided to recommend necessary amendments in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Local Government Act, 1990 regarding the holding of local body elections. A committee was also constituted to prepare recommendations after examining local government election-related legislation in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh.

    It was further decided that an estimate of the budget required for holding the local government elections would be prepared and submitted to the government. The commission maintained that conducting local government elections is its constitutional responsibility and that it was prepared to fulfil its mandate.

    The last local government elections were held in Azad Kashmir in 2022 under the Local Government Act, 1990 and related election rules.

    مظفرآباد: آزاد جموں و کشمیر ہائی کورٹ نے کابینہ کے ایجوکیشن پیکج 2026 پر نظرثانی کے فیصلے پر حکم امتناعی جاری کر دیا ہے۔ عدالت نے اس فیصلے کے خلاف دائر درخواستوں کو باقاعدہ سماعت کے لیے منظور کر لیا۔

    ہائی کورٹ کے سینئر جج جسٹس سید شاہد بہار نے درخواستوں کی سماعت کی۔ عدالت کے اسٹے آرڈر کے نتیجے میں حکومت کا ایجوکیشن پیکج 2026 پر نظرثانی کا اقدام عدالتی کارروائی کے مکمل ہونے تک معطل رہے گا۔

    یہ درخواستیں کابینہ کے فیصلے کے خلاف دائر کی گئی تھیں جن میں درخواست گزاروں نے ایجوکیشن پیکج پر نظرثانی کے معاملے پر عدالتی مداخلت کی استدعا کی تھی۔

    آئندہ عدالتی کارروائی میں کابینہ کے فیصلے کی قانونی حیثیت اور حکومت کے پیکج پر نظرثانی کے اختیار کا تعین ہوگا۔

    The development comes after petitions were filed before the High Court against the Cabinet decision, with the petitioners seeking judicial intervention over the proposed review of the education package.

    Further proceedings will determine the legal status of the Cabinet’s decision and the government’s authority to revisit the package.

    مظفرآباد: وزیراعظم آزاد جموں و کشمیر بیرسٹر افتخار گیلانی نے زکوٰۃ کونسل تحلیل کرتے ہوئے تقریباً تین ہزار اختیاری تعیناتیاں ختم کر دی ہیں۔ یہ اقدام حکومت کے انتظامی اور مالیاتی اصلاحاتی ایجنڈے کا حصہ بتایا گیا ہے۔

    رپورٹس کے مطابق ہٹائے جانے والوں میں زکوٰۃ کونسل کے چیئرمین اور ارکان، دس اضلاع کے زکوٰۃ کمیٹیوں کے چیئرمین، حلقہ سطح کے چیئرمین اور مقامی زکوٰۃ کمیٹیوں کے تقریباً دو ہزار تین سو چیئرمین شامل ہیں۔

    اس کے ساتھ علما و مشائخ کونسل کے چیئرمین اور ارکان کو بھی ہٹایا جا رہا ہے اور متعلقہ سمری وزیراعظم کو ارسال کر دی گئی ہے۔ تجوید القرآن کوآرڈینیٹر کو بھی عہدے سے ہٹا دیا گیا ہے۔

    اس سے قبل چیئرمین وزیراعظم انسپیکشن کمیشن، انویسٹمنٹ بورڈ اور کلچرل اکیڈمی میں اختیاری عہدوں پر کی گئی تعیناتیاں بھی ختم کی جا چکی ہیں۔

    حکومتی ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ ان اقدامات کا مقصد سرکاری وسائل کا بہتر استعمال اور انتظامی ڈھانچے کو مزید موثر بنانا ہے۔

    According to reports, those removed include the chairman and members of the Zakat Council, chairmen of Zakat committees in 10 districts, constituency-level chairmen, and around 2,300 chairmen of local Zakat committees.

    The chairman and members of the Ulema and Mashaikh Council are also being removed, and the relevant summary has been forwarded to the prime minister. The Tajweed-ul-Quran coordinator is being removed as well.

    Earlier, those appointed to discretionary posts on the Chairman Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission, the Investment Board, and the Cultural Academy were removed.

    Government sources said the steps are aimed at better utilisation of public resources and a more efficient administrative structure.

    مظفرآباد: آزاد جموں و کشمیر حکومت نے انتظامی امور میں بہتری کے لیے سات افسران کے تبادلے اور نئی تعیناتیوں کے احکامات جاری کر دیے ہیں۔ نوٹیفکیشن کے مطابق کئی اضلاع کے ڈپٹی کمشنروں سمیت اہم انتظامی عہدوں پر تبدیلیاں کی گئی ہیں۔

    تفصیلات کے مطابق عاصم خالد اعوان کو ڈپٹی کمشنر باغ سے تبدیل کر کے ڈپٹی کمشنر مظفرآباد تعینات کیا گیا ہے، جبکہ سید ممتاز حسین کاظمی ڈپٹی کمشنر پونچھ سے ڈپٹی کمشنر باغ مقرر ہوئے ہیں۔ فیصل مغل کو ڈپٹی کمشنر وادی جہلم سے ڈپٹی کمشنر بھمبر تعینات کیا گیا ہے۔

    منیر احمد قریشی کو ڈپٹی کمشنر مظفرآباد کے عہدے سے ہٹا کر ڈپٹی سیکرٹری ہائیر ایجوکیشن تعینات کیا گیا ہے۔ عفت اعظم کو ایڈیشنل ڈپٹی کمشنر کوٹلی سے ڈپٹی کمشنر وادی جہلم مقرر کیا گیا ہے، جبکہ چوہدری محمد طارق ڈپٹی کمشنر بھمبر سے ڈائریکٹر انڈسٹریز اینڈ کامرس تعینات ہوئے ہیں۔

    محمد رضا اللہ خان کو ڈائریکٹر انڈسٹریز اینڈ کامرس کے عہدے سے ہٹا دیا گیا ہے اور انہیں کوئی نئی تعیناتی نہیں دی گئی۔ حکومتی ذرائع کے مطابق یہ تبادلے انتظامی اصلاحات کے تسلسل کا حصہ ہیں۔

    واضح رہے کہ وزیراعظم آزاد کشمیر بیرسٹر افتخار گیلانی کی حکومت نے حال ہی میں اختیاری عہدوں کے خاتمے اور مالیاتی اصلاحات کی جانب بھی اہم اقدامات کیے ہیں۔

    Asim Khalid Awan has been transferred from Deputy Commissioner Bagh and appointed Deputy Commissioner Muzaffarabad. Syed Mumtaz Hussain Kazmi moves from Deputy Commissioner Poonch to Deputy Commissioner Bagh, while Faisal Mughal has been shifted from Deputy Commissioner Jhelum Valley to Deputy Commissioner Bhimber.

    Munir Ahmed Qureshi has been removed as Deputy Commissioner Muzaffarabad and appointed Deputy Secretary Higher Education. Iffat Azam has been posted from Additional Deputy Commissioner Kotli to Deputy Commissioner Jhelum Valley, and Chaudhry Muhammad Tariq moves from Deputy Commissioner Bhimber to Director Industries and Commerce.

    Muhammad Razaullah Khan has been removed from the post of Director Industries and Commerce and has not been assigned a new posting. Government sources said the transfers are part of ongoing administrative reforms.

    The reshuffle comes as Prime Minister Barrister Iftikhar Gilani’s government pushes ahead with administrative and financial reforms, including the removal of discretionary appointments.
